Tony Hawk GameActivision has sent out a press release today which confirms that a demo for Tony Hawk’s Project 8 will be available on October 21st. In the demo you’ll hit the concrete park, where you can check out a ‘nail the trick’ objective. You’ll also be able to try out ‘Filmer’ goals that require players to follow a cameraman and complete tricks that he calls out; along with ‘Spot Challenges’ which are challenges that you’ll find throughout the park; you can complete these at your own leisure.

It’s a busy day for Tony Hawk fans. Activision has also confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version of the game will also take advantage of the Sixaxis’s motion control. You’ll be able to balance and steer skaters through every rail grind, manual, revert, ollie and combo, as well as control slow motion to nail the trick moves.

The game will be out four months later than the Xbox 360 counterpart, but at least the PlayStation 3 version will include something different; just don’t mention the online play. We’ll have more information on Tony Hawk’s Project 8 as soon as it becomes available.
