One of the greatest mysteries of the universe is about to be revealed with the first detailed, three-dimensional map of dark matter, the invisible material that makes up most of the universe. Astronomers stated yesterday that they have achieved the apparently impossible task of creating a picture of something that has defied every attempt to detect it since its existence was first discovered in 1933.

Scientists have discovered that an enormous size ice shelf broke off an island in the Canadian Arctic last year, in what could be a noticeable sign of global warming. It is said to be the largest break in 25 years, casting an ice floe with an area of 66 sq km (25 square miles). It occurred in August 2005 but was only recently detected on satellite images.

So naturally some people are celebrating it with some green pigs that glow in the dark. Chinese scientists have stated that they have successfully bred partially green pigs. Their objective is thought to have implications in the famous stem cell research, which could save millions of people recover from serious illnesses or even regain their severed limbs.
