No Hidden FeesEU Consumer Affairs Commissioner is getting on to hundreds of websites who have been keeping pertinent information from their customers. Meglena Kuneva stated that they have kept the true cost of the download hidden and will not tell their customers that they are signing up for subscriptions.

They will be tracking down online consumers who have bought ring tones for their cellphones and will turn their focus on 80% of 558 EU-wide websites that are being investigated for employing unusual and suspicious business activities. “Far too many people are falling victim to costly surprises from mysterious charges, fees and ring-tone subscriptions that they learn about for the first time when they see their mobile phone bill,” she said.

Apple iPhoneAt 5 this morning people from all over were lining up outside AT&T stores all across the country waiting for their chance to get their hands on the new iPhone 3G. Close to 20 or more people were waiting when stores across the nation opened. People who didn’t know what was going on thought that it was Black Friday coming a few months too early.

Even customers who own the original iPhone were staying busy today to try to get all of the new features and programs onto their phones. The new programs started to release Thursday night. Close to 500 games, programs, entertainment and business applications were ready to be downloaded and added to the older phones.

MercuryScientists said that they have been keeping a close eye on the planet Mercury and have noticed that it is beginning to shrink in size. The planet’s core seems to be cooling - which has triggered a magnetic dynamo and is causing it to become smaller.

It is believed that Mercury is at least one-third greater smaller than in the past. This comes after the NASA MESSENGER probe sent 1,200 pictures taken from 120 miles from Mercury’s surface.
