Apple iTunes is still the reigning king over digital music and they proved this when they reached one of their biggest milestone. They have sold over 5 billion songs since it first started in 2003. Their music catalog alone hold over 8 million tracks – which offer customers a variety of songs as well as over 20 thousand television episodes and more than 2 thousand movies. Mozilla is telling all of their customers that tomorrow is officially recognized as ‘Download Day’. They will be trying to set a brand new Guinness Record for how many software downloads they can attempt when they release the new Firefox 3 web browser tomorrow June 16th. The new browser is said to have better security, a new design, and better performance than the previous model.
Firefox 3 will boast better navigational control – which is something that many Firefox users have been waiting to see along with improved extensibility features. The location bar has been placed in a much better place along with the bookmarks.
Several online forums that have posted thousands of images of child pornography have been taken off of three separate internet providers – said New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. Two of the servers were some of the nation’s largest providers.
These new agreement were enforced by child-welfare advocates in order to push service providers to do more to monitor the things that people do on their servers and to prevent people from posting this kind of horrible images. While this helps to push horrible people off the internet it may also go against the First Amendment – free speech.
