Cresc Inc. is a leading consumable printer manufacturer based in Japan, which will establish its expansion plant here with a committed investment of $600,000 (P27.7 million). The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) board has approved the project, which will be engaged in re-manufacturing empty inkjet cartridges for computer printers, as well as in manufacturing do-it-yourself (DM) home refilling kits.
“What makes Cresc significant is the fact that 100 percent of their finished products are going to be exported to Japan for distribution,” SBMA administrator and chief executive officer Armand C. Arreza said. DIY instant refilling is becoming popular among students, professionals and entrepreneurs worldwide because it is cost effective without losing any quality.
