Space ShuttleLast week the Russian computers on the International Space Station unexpectedly shutdown without any warning or reason. Tests were performed and it seems that they are up and running smoothly once more. If they stay this way then the space shuttle, Atlantis, will undock from the space station on Tuesday. If all goes well the shuttle will arrive on Earth on Thursday.

If the test hadn’t gone well, Atlantis would’ve had to stay longer to help keep the station pointed in the right direction. Russian rocket jets normally help with that job, but they were not available during the computer meltdown.

iPhoneThe iPhone looks great and many people are thinking that it might be something that they would love to have. But there is still one question that everyone is wanting to know. Does the iPhone have the ability to run software from other companies? 18 days before the iPhone’s June 29 release, Steve Jobs stood on stage told software makers that Apple had found an answer to support outside iPhone development.

NASA LogoDuring the preperation for the launch of the shuttle Atlantis, which is scheduled to take off on Friday, engineers noticed that the shuttle’s fuel tank was off on its measurements. This led the engineers to beleive that the fuel tank might have a leak, but when they inspected it they found no problems with it. NASA is praying that nothing will stop tha launch. Unfortuantely they are still considering that the weather will change on them and that their may be a labor strike.
