Asset TagsAsset tagging and marking are patented anti-theft marking and recovery system uses a permanently affixed rigid metal plate to identify computers and other office equipment. A toll-free hotline number and bar code are printed on the face of each plates to facilitate recovery and asset management. If the plate is removed, an indelible tattoo that reads “Stolen Property” and the toll-free hotline number will stay on chemically etched in the surface of the equipment. The system is available with a customized asset tracking software program for efficient inventory management.

Apple iPhoneThe Apple analysts are at it again, this time figuring the sales figures for the iPhone and what they could mean for Apple as a company. A survey was started in the US, UK, India, and China sometime before the iPhone was officially unveiled, so the numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. Based on this survey and prior predictions, analyst David Bailey came up with some interesting numbers regarding iPhone sales.

Racing GameVirtual rev-heads take their need for speed from the lounge room and apply it out onto the roads, creating a generation of aggressive, risky drivers, according to German research. Even after playing just one virtual racing game men took greater risks in critical traffic situations on a computer simulator, they found.

Extending prior findings on how aggressive virtual-shooter games increase aggression-related thoughts, feelings and behaviours, researchers at Munich’s Ludwig-Maximilians University and the Allianz Center for Technology found that of 198 men and women, those who play more virtual car racing games were more likely to report that they drive aggressively and get in accidents. Less frequent virtual racing was associated with more cautious driving.
